About

Bjarki Jóhannsson is a 27 year old videographer based in Reykjanesbær, Iceland. Bjarki grew up in a small town in East Iceland called Eskifjörður, where he developed a passion for filming. With just a phone or a GoPro, he started experimenting with filmmaking capturing his friends doing all kinds of activities which the East had to offer.

His love for nature and flying a drone in it eventually led him to make filmmaking his career in the beginning of 2021. Despite not being formally trained at film school, Bjarkis self-taught skills have already landed him collaborations with several major corporations in Iceland as well being a filmmaker and editor for the advertising agency, Alpha agency, from the beginning of 2022.

 

He pursued his own career as a full-time freelancer in August 2022, determined to learn more and go further in his craft.
